Drawing inspiration from varied sources, textile designers Gabby Deeming and Molly Mahon discuss their design inspirations, processes and how they have grown their businesses. Prepare to be inspired, guided and enthused by these joyful women!

Gabby, previously Creative Director of House and Garden magazine, founded Daydress in 2017 and creates glorious clothing and accessories using her own designs, blockprinted in India. She is a doyenne of exquisite colour and pattern combinations and a self-professed pattern junkie.

Molly created her eponymous fabric, wallpaper and textile brand in 2012 and has grown the family business from her kitchen table to become a lifestyle brand distributed around the world. She is passionate about the power of creativity, and the enriching process of printing.

Using archival prints, antique fabrics, nature, places and spaces as the starting point for many of their stunning printed collections, Molly and Gabby will show us how they gather inspiration, explore colour palettes, evolve designs, and translate these into designs that sing.

Join us for a conversation followed by a three-course seasonal supper in the Gallery Rooms. There will also be an opportunity to explore Daydress and Molly Mahon clothing, homewares and fabrics.
